About the Job

Do you want to become one of our important school social workers within the Child and Student Health in Lidköping Municipality? One of our current school social workers will be on parental leave, and therefore we are now looking for a temporary school social worker.

The work is divided between primary school and adapted primary school. The conditions will be good, as the focus of the work lies in preventive and health-promoting efforts in close dialogue with the principal and other EHT (Student Health Team).

Job Responsibilities

The school social worker works in the student health team together with special educators, school nurses, and school psychologists and operates at the school unit in close collaboration with the principal and educators. You will primarily have the task of working health-promoting and preventive. As a school social worker, you will work together with the principal, EHT, and educators to create a good educational learning environment with the goal that all students feel good and develop based on their conditions and reach as far as possible. We see the importance of starting from the students' interests, motivation, and the desire to learn together.

The work as a school social worker is multifaceted and includes, among other things, assisting with your expertise in school development issues, collaborating with educators and the principal in finding successful methods that benefit students' health, development, and learning, guiding staff, and contributing to social and psychosocial investigations. As a school social worker, you add psychosocial competence as support in the educational work and in the overall planning of student health work. You will also participate in transitions within/between units and activities.

In addition to the work at the school unit, you will belong to a professional group with the area's/unit's school social workers. In this group, you collaborate with preschool, primary school, and high school social workers. This includes working on issues related to your own profession and conducting quality and development work.

All our professions within EHT have established main tasks that are anchored both within the profession, the principal group, and our trade unions. This creates clear expectations for the roles in the operations and how the profession is utilized.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a trained social worker, social educator, or have another academic education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You approach your work from a salutogenic perspective and are well anchored in current governing documents and are also well versed in the school's view of knowledge and value-based mission. You focus on a good accessible learning environment and on developing the operation at the organizational and group level to promote each student's development and learning. Together with the educators, you see opportunities to develop teaching.

You have a well-functioning collaboration with students, guardians, and educators, and you contribute to a good culture of collaboration. We value that you are a person with great commitment and interest in making a difference for our children and students.

Consideration will be given to personal suitability.
